Hound Dog One at the Blues Over Beaufort Air Show

Hound Dog One made the trek over to MCAS Beaufort last Friday morning as ominous weather loomed in the area. Nothing could stop her as she gently touched down on Runway 23's 12,202 foot runway and taxied onto a ramp full of military aircraft.

Over the weekend, Hound Dog One proudly sat on the ramp as over 170,000 air show attendees walked by, viewed her, and took photos. A few lucky people even got to pose for photos inside the plane! :-)

Her flight crew answered many questions, passed out literature and coloring pages, as well as told the story of the Twinkle Toes transport, the upcoming Tina Turner transport, and what CBHR is all about. Overall, a very successful weekend for CBHR!

The only negative was the weather on Sunday. Half of the show was rained out due to thunderstorms and heavy rain. Hound Dog One got a nice bath as did her flight crew! :-) Around 5pm on Sunday, Hound Dog One was "unleashed" as she headed back to her home base of Hilton Head.

Enjoy the slide show below!
