Fog in the Greenville area was the initial culprit which delayed our departure. Once the fog started to lift, thunderstorms invaded the Hilton Head Island Airport area and the decision was made to take to the roads in Hound Dog Two.

We met Bonnie Thorpe in Columbia, SC and transferred Princess into HD2. The drive from the Columbia area to Coosawhatchie took about an hour and 45 minutes. Once we reached Coosawhatchie, Princess was transferred to her new foster mom, Carolyn Davis. As you can see by the photos, Princess is a sweet, mature lady.

Below, is the track of the car ride.

Princess Transport (CBHR)

Plan your trips with EveryTrail Mobile Travel Guides

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 235px; height: 314px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_QPqGQ-U7WiE/TAEzR-jivrI/AAAAAAAACBU/JulShfbQmrI/s320/Princess.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5476715005802102450" />

Princess -- This happy girl is 13 years old, and came from Brevard, NC. She was kept in a pen outdoors all of those 13 years. She went to animal control when her owner became sick and could no longer "care" for her. Despite having had no HW preventative her whole life, and being two years behind on vaccinations, Princess is healthy and HW negative. Also, despite having been penned all her life, she's a very friendly, lively lady. When Bonnie Thorpe took her to the vet in Seneca SC, the vet techs were trying to guess how many baths she would need to get clean -- she was extrememly filthy and smelly! This sweet gal will be going to live with her foster mom, Carolyn Davis, one of our newest fosters in SC.

Hilton Head Island Airport Open House Event

Hound Dog One and her flight crew will be present at the Hilton Head Island Airport Open House from Noon to 4pm this Saturday, May 8th. At the controls was pilot Ted Holstein and Hound Handler for this mission was Jamie Pasteris.

Hound Dog One took off from the Hilton Head Island Airport around 12:30pm for the long flight to Greenville, SC. Flight took approximately 20 minutes longer than normal due to strong head winds.

Upon landing at the Greenville Downtown Airport, we were met by temporary foster mom, Krisi Keenan, and Bennett. After some fuel and a few photos, we loaded up for Charleston, SC.

Flight time to Charleston was a short hour and 15 minutes due to the winds which were now blowing at our tail. Bennett slept most of the way back and woke up when we started the descent.

Upon arrival, we were met by new foster mom, Liz Elder.

Enjoy the slideshow below as well as the flight route map. The main show is on Saturday, however, there will be a military family appreciation day show on Friday the 16th. We'll need some volunteers to assist Kim and I both days so if you are available to help, let us know.

In addition, HD1 and her crew are looking forward to the MCAS Cherry Point Air Show in May. We'll need volunteers to assist us at that show as well since that one is a three day event. What an opportunity for us to reach out to potential adopters at these two shows. Both shows average approximately 150,000 people each. Denver is one lucky hound too! He was the first Basset to be transported by Hound Dog One in 2010.

The weather was less than stellar for this mission in Hilton Head and Charleston. My buddy, Barry, was interested in some flight time so he was at the controls for the legs to Charleston and New Bern. I acted as Hound Handler this trip but did get to fly the leg back from New Bern to Hilton Head.

The leg from Hilton Head to Charleston was a short one, lasting only 36 minutes, but was highlighted with low clouds and an instrument approach into Charleston. We broke out of the clouds 800 feet above the ground.

Once in Charleston, we were met by The Brooks' and Master's. We also had a welcoming committee of hounds! Besides Denver, Cotton and Gaylord were there, as well as a Dachshund (sorry....didn't get the name!) The Brooks' fostered Denver. THANK YOU, LYDIA AND BRIAN!

The leg to New Bern was slightly under 2 hours and the weather was much better up there with only scattered clouds around the airport. Denver is such a sweet boy and was a great passenger. As you can see by the pictures below, he enjoyed his flight in first class!

Once in New Bern, we were greeted by John Dowling and family. They fell in love instantly!! How could you not?? :-) John and I went over Denver's paperwork and off they went. Barry and I grabbed a crew vehicle and went for a quick bite of lunch before returning home. I flew that leg which lasted two and a half hours and ended with an instrument approach back into Hilton Head.

Enjoy the photos and trip tracking below and thanks for supporting Hound Dog One!

Ted Holstein

Hound Dog One - Denver Transport

Map your trip with EveryTrail

Denver Transport - 1/23/10

Hound Dog One and her flight crew will be transporting Denver from his foster home in Charleston, SC to his new forever home in New Bern, NC. We also have to apologize for not updating this blog in a while. November and December have been/are very busy months for HD1's flight crew with changing work schedules and personal business. That being said, here is a recap of what Hound Dog One has done in 2009 to date.

- Raised $4,607.01 for CBHR with the Fly-A-Thon. Unfortunately, four of the five cities were not visited during the fly-a-thon weekend due to inclement weather. We did, however, visit Charleston, SC where we raised over $200 during that visit. I would like to thank all of the HD1 supporters and CBHR volunteers for making the trip out to the airport that evening. We are still trying to re-schedule the four missed stops but this may not take place until 2010 due to our schedule as well as the Holidays.

- Flew 16 aerial missions with CBHR hounds onboard.

- Drove 3 CBHR missions.

- Flew 1 Pilots N Paws mission.

- Drove 1 Pilots N Paws mission.

- Appeared in 3 air shows as a static display.

Hound Dog One and her flight crew look forward to 2010 and we thank you again for your support and dedication.

Happy Holidays!

Your Hound Dog One Flight Crew
Ted and Kim Holstein

Get Your Hound Dog One Howl-iday Shirts Now!!!

We think EVERYONE needs one of these for the HOWL-IDAYS....A special edition Hound Dog One Howl-iday design by our good friend, Missy Johnson.

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 320px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_QPqGQ-U7WiE/SuHwergavqI/AAAAAAAAB9Q/7r07nSW6tYE/s320/HD1+Christmas+copy.png" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5395858238432001698" />

Happy Howl-idays!

Your Hound Dog One Flight Crew,
Ted and Kim Holstein

***POSTPONED*** Greenville/Columbia Fly-A-Thon Stops

Mother Nature just doesn't want to cooperate this weekend. Her name was Traveler and it is a very fitting name since this was her maiden flight.

Our day started off by flying from Hilton Head, SC to Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport. We lifted off of our island "dog house" at 9:00am. Flight time was about an hour and 45 minutes. Once on the ground, we were greeted by Alex Vergas and Traveler. What a sweet hound Traveler is!!

Kim and I walked out to the plane with Traveler in tow; her tail wagging in excitement as she headed for Hound Dog One. We lifted off around 11:30am for the hour and a half flight to Mount Pleasant, SC. Once on the ground, we were greeted by Drew Heinold and his children. You should have seen the excitement in their faces!!

The flight back home to Hilton Head was 35 minutes. Another successful mission for Hound Dog One and her flight crew! Total distance flown was 411 miles and I logged 4.5 hours of flight time.

Enjoy the pictures!

Ted and Kim Holstein
Your Hound Dog One Flight Crew

Hound Dog One - Missions 14 & 15

On September 29, 2009, Hound Dog One and her crew returned to the sky to transport two more CBHR hounds. At the controls was pilot Ted Holstein. My designated "Hound Handler" that day was Paul Roderick of Savannah, GA.

Our day started early (even earlier for Paul due to his drive to Hilton Head) as we lifted off shortly after 7:30am. It was a beautiful day for flying (though a little windy which caused quite a bit of turbulence). Our first leg was to Anderson, SC to pick up Kelly Girl and this leg was an hour and 55 minutes long.

We were delayed a bit once on the ground in Anderson, SC due to their fuel truck being out of service AND their self fueling being broken. I'll keep my opinions to myself. :-) After getting fuel, Paul loaded up Kelly Girl and off we went, this time heading to Asheboro, NC...about an hour and a half of flight time. This leg was a bit more challenging since the strong winds blowing over the Appalachians were causing "mountain waves", causing us to bob in the air just like you would in the ocean if you were floating on the surface as the waves come in. Kelly Girl didn't seem to mind, after all, she was flying first class!

After delivering Kelly Girl to The Antoniou's in Asheboro, NC, Paul and I headed for Conway, SC...just west of Myrtle Beach, SC...about an hour long flight. There, we picked up Sallie Mae. She was headed down to Mount Pleasant, SC so her flight was going to be short...only 40 minutes. She didn't mind though as she climbed onto the back seat and enjoyed the beautiful flight down the coast.

We arrived in Mount Pleasant, SC and Sallie Mae's transportation was awaiting her. I'm sure she felt like a celebrity! Her transportation whisked her away and Paul and I were thrilled that we could be a part of the Hound Dog One/CBHR transport network as Missions 14 & 15 were a complete success.

We boarded HD1 and headed home. Total distance flown was approximately 587 miles and I logged 7 hours of flight time.

Enjoy the photos.

Ted Holstein
HD1 Pilot

Hound Dog Two Rescues Blue

Early this morning, I drove to the Colleton County Animal Shelter in Walterboro, SC to rescue a one year old Basset Hound named Blue. Since this transport was done in my SUV (Hound Dog Two), I'm not counting it as an official HD1 mission.

Blue is a sweet boy and he thoroughly enjoyed the drive back to the Bluffton area of South Carolina. After roaming the back seat for a few minutes he ended up in the front passenger seat and enjoyed the petting her received for the hour and 15 minute drive back. He tried so hard to sit on my lap and actually succeeded with a half mile to go! :-)

Blue is being fostered at Camp Green Dog and he loves playing with the other dogs there. We certainly look forward to the air show season in 2010!

We saw a lot of interest in CBHR and HD1 over the weekend as our volunteers put on their HD1 shirts and CBHR clothing to get the word out. We passed out many adoption applications and made $100 in donations during the two day event. Even CBHR's mascot, Chance, showed up and drew quite a crowd!!

I want to thank all of you who volunteered your time this past weekend to help HD1 and her crew out. It was warm and we were all worn out but I think we made an impact in that area for CBHR.

Ted Holstein
HD1 Pilot

Missions 12 & 13

Last Friday, "Hound Handler" Kim and I flew Mission 12 from Charleston, SC to Winston-Salem, NC. We were headed there for the air show so it worked out well. Our passenger was Holly.

After a delay in Hilton Head due to maintenance, Kim and I lifted off for Charleston. Holly was there waiting for us at Odyssey Aviation. We fueled and loaded up and headed off for Winston-Salem, NC. The flight was a little over two hours in duration but Holly was a trooper. Air Traffic Control even commented on our transport since I put "Carolina Basset Hound Rescue Transport" in the comments section of our flight plan. The controller at Charlotte even said she has been to the CBHR website!

Upon landing, we transferred Holly to her new adoptive dad and we went along our business preparing for the air show AND for Mission 13.

Mission 13 took place yesterday and Henry was our passenger. He was being adopted by a couple in Mount Pleasant, SC and was catching a ride with us. We also had an unexpected passenger as Holly's home trial didn't work out and she was headed back to Charleston to hook up with her foster mom again.

This flight has a little more drama than most since Holly didn't want to share the back seat with Henry. Hound Handler Kim did a remarkable job keeping them calm and separated, though Henry spent a portion of the flight trying to climb over seats at 8,000 feet up! :-)

Once on the ground at Charleston, Holly and Henry went their separate ways. Two more successful missions for HD1 and her flight crew!

Enjoy the photos!

Ted and Kim Holstein
Your Hound Dog One Flight Crew

Hound Dog One Missions 10 & 11

On Saturday, September 5, 2009, Hound Dog One and her flight crew returned to the Carolina skies. This was another first for HD1 as she had her first, back-to-back, double dog transport. Missions 8 & 9 were also double dog transports. Oh, in cased you missed it, Hound Dog One and her flight crew were also featured in the Bluffton Today on Saturday. Our plan was to be airborne at around 7am. We lifted off of Hilton Head at 7:09 am for our 1 hour, 55 minute flight to Rowan County Airport in Salisbury, NC.

Sunrise over Hilton Head, SC

On approach to Runway 2 at Rowan County Airport in Salisbury, NC

Once at Rowan County Airport, we met up with fellow CBHR volunteers and picked up One-Eyed Bob and Carlee. One-Eyed Bob was heading to Florence, SC to a new foster home while Carlee was headed to North Myrtle Beach, SC to her new forever home. The flight to Florence was 55 minutes; the flight to North Myrtle Beach was 35 minutes. According to Google Maps, if this ended up being a ground transport, it would have taken 4 hours and 24 minutes total. HD1 was able to do it in an hour and a half!

All in all, the flights went very smoothly. I logged 5.4 hours of flight time and we traveled approximately 500 miles.

Thanks to all that came out to support Hound Dog One on Saturday!! Enjoy the photos below.

Ted Holstein
Hound Dog One Pilot

Hound Dog One - Missions 8 & 9!!!

Hound Dog One is certainly earning her wings averaging about one transport a month. Yesterday, she transported 2 Bassets....Missions 8 and 9 for 2009!

HD1 took off from Hilton Head Island Airport, SC, around 11am with pilot Ted Holstein at the controls. In the right seat was John "Killer" Kilbourne and he was the official Hound Handler for yesterday's missions.

First stop was Concord, NC where we met Becky Gering and Herb Matherly. Our passengers were Sugar and Sammy. We loaded them up and away we went! Next stop was New Bern, NC.

Both Sugar and Sammy did very well and napped in the back while we cruised along at 9,000 feet.

Once on the ground at New Bern, we met Andrea McElmurry. Andrea is fostering Sugar. Sugar seemed eager to leave the airport and check her her new home so we said our farewells and took back to the skies. Next stop was Mount Pleasant, SC.

Sammy took to flying like he has been doing this for years and slept most of the trip in first class since now he had the entire seat to himself. :-) He probably wished this flight had food service but I think the in-flight entertainment was enough for him...zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

As we pulled onto the ramp at Mount Pleasant, Susan Heinold and her kids were waiting for us; her kids were jumping up and down as we pulled in!!! After a few photos and exchanging of paperwork, we also said our farewells. John and I loaded back up for the 45 minute trip back to home base...Hilton Head.

For those of you that are curious, I logged 6.6 hours of flight time in HD1 yesterday. I want to thank everyone who made these missions possible!

Ted Holstein
Hound Dog One Pilot

Mission #7 - "Momma Basset" Rescued!

It's amazing what a great group of volunteers can do...especially at the last moment. The emails started rolling in after 9pm on Monday evening with word that a pregnant Basset Hound was going to be put to sleep first thing Tuesday morning at a shelter near Columbia.

Diane Caban pulled "Momma Basset" from the shelter first thing and met me at Eagle Aviation at Columbia Metro Airport. D Thompson was there as well. I had just parked the plane and shut down the engine when they walked inside Eagle Aviation. Perfect timing! :-)

"Momma Basset" is beautiful and loves to be carried! We had to tote her around as she was not wanting to walk on her own. After visiting for a few minutes, we loaded her up and I headed out. Unfortunately, I had a maintenance issue crop up just before takeoff and I had to taxi back to the ramp. Since D and Diane had already left, it was just me and "Momma Basset". I had to coordinate trying to get the maintenance done AND babysit our pregnant hound. I was able to call my wife, Kim, to get a hold of D and Diane. Without hesitation, they came back to assist.

Once the fouled spark plug was replaced, we loaded her back up and off we went to Greensboro, NC. We were met by Lori Yarbrough (and her kids), Tammy Graves, and Sandra Lumley . A special thanks to Lori for hooking up this pilot with lunch and Starbucks!

But the adventure didn't end there. On the way back to Hilton Head, a line of thunderstorms developed that I couldn't get through so I opted to divert and land at Florence Regional Airport in Florence, SC. I spent about four hours in their pilot lounge watching the weather and a Cops marathon on Dish Network! hahahaha

I was able to depart Florence at 7:30pm for the hour and 15 minute flight back to Hilton Head.

Thanks again to everyone who assisted in this rescue and transport!

Enjoy the pictures below.

Ted Holstein
Hound Dog One Pilot
"Flying Hounds Into Your Hearts."

Hound Dog One Fly-A-Thon 2009!!

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 279px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_QPqGQ-U7WiE/SnOamHj7aXI/AAAAAAAABt8/IrEy3Ro9PUY/s320/Fly+a+thon+09.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5364801560783841650" />

Hound Dog One and her flight crew are proud to announce the fund raiser of all fund raisers...the 2009 Hound Dog One Fly-A-Thon! Hound Dog One and her flight crew are gearing up to fly 600 miles to raise money for the Basset Hounds of CBHR and you can help!! HD1 is hoping to raise $2,000 for CBHR and help raise public awareness at the same time. You can help by printing off a fly-a-thon pledge form and getting as many sponsors as possible. We are asking for pledges of 5 cents per flight mile ($30) but any donation will be accepted. In addition, we have "Olympic" sponsorship packages available for $100, $150, and $200 with some cool gifts to go along with them. Please contact your family, friends, and co-workers and encourage them to donate. We would suggest also contacting your local vet offices, pet stores, and other charity groups to make a donation. If you have any corporate contacts that you have worked closely with in the past or who you think would donate, let them know as well.

We have made it easy for those wishing to donate. HD1 has created an account through First Giving where anyone wishing to do so, can make a secure, online donation. A receipt is also generated after the transaction is completed. If you would like to go "paperless" and create your own First Giving fly-a-thon account, please contact Kim Holstein at kimburrkay@hargray.com.

***PLEASE NOTE: Whomever raises the most money for this event (non-Olympic sponsors), will receive an award at the Waddle in December! You do not need to be present at the Waddle to get this award.***

An email to the CBHR Yahoo Groups address (and an additional blog post) will be sent out with specific instructions/details on this fundraiser. The forms will be available on the CBHR website soon. If you are not a member of this group and would like the form(s) emailed to you, please contact me at hounddogone.cbhr@gmail.com.

Hound Dog One will also be coming to a city near you! We will be making stops at the key CBHR volunteer centers. So, pack up your family, tell your friends, and put on that Hound Dog One clothing you bought through Cafe Press. It had been almost 7 months to the day since Twinkle Toes first boarded HD1, suffering from injuries received after being struck by a car. Pauline Grimball and Sue Ramsey fostered TT and nursed her back to health. It wasn't easy, however. Besides recovering from a cracked pelvis and torn ACL, TT fought through a difficult heartworm treatment as well as eyelid surgery.

Upon arrival at Concord Regional Airport, TT was greeted by a mass of CBHR volunteers as well as her new mom, Patty Andrews.

I am proud of the volunteers we have within CBHR. None of this would have been possible without your support. Nothing is better than seeing a hound so happy in her new environment, knowing where she came from.

The Post and Courier in Charleston, SC also did a follow-up story on TT in yesterday's paper. So, Hound Dog 2 (Kim's Nissan Pathfinder)took to the road yesterday to do the mission by ground transport.

The mission was to transport a 95 pound Great Dane, named Zoey, from the Sevier County Humane Society in Sevierville, TN to Savannah, GA. The plan was to get Zoey and meet a volunteer of a local Great Dane Rescue group at a predetermined location along I-95 to do the transfer.

I left the house at 7:15am on Wednesday and made it home at 10:45pm. Driving conditions were less than ideal with heavy rain and fog, especially in the mountains of NC/TN.

Zoey was a doll though! So sweet and she slept most of the way home. She is going to make some family very happy!! I'm just glad I was able to get her to safety since the shelter she was located at is considered a high kill shelter.

Enjoy the photos!

Ted
Hound Dog One Pilot (and Hound Dog Two Driver!!!) :-)

Donation Thank You!

<img style="float:center; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 178px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_QPqGQ-U7WiE/SlIv-x7cpKI/AAAAAAAABlk/yy9F-IPC4Zo/s200/BassetThankyou.gif" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5355395662498014370" />

I want to extend a huge THANK YOU to the CBHR volunteer who donated $250 over the weekend to help the hounds! The website is intended to be a meeting place for those that rescue, shelter, or foster animals, and pilots or plane owners willing to assist with the transportation of animals.

As luck would have it, our first transport was a Basset Hound! His name is Kroozer and he's 12. Unfortunately, Kroozer has terminal cancer and is VERY afraid of thunderstorms. He was living in Fort Lauderdale and the Basset Rescue of Florida wanted to get him moved to a location that has few thunderstorms. A family in Pottstown, PA adopted him and that is how this transport got organized.

Yesterday, Kroozer was flown by Tim Johnson of Miami from Fort Lauderdale, FL to Jacksonville, FL where Kim and I picked him up. Once again, we found out the Bassets do love to fly! :-) We flew Kroozer up to Whiteville, NC where we were met by Marty Hutto of Chesapeake, VA. Kroozer is being fostered for 2 nights in Virginia Beach and will continue on to his new home in PA on Monday morning.

Enjoy the slide show below!

Ted
Hound Dog One Pilot

Mission #5

Wow! Congratulations to CBHR and Hound Dog One on the 5th mission of the year!

Yesterday, Hound Dog One took to the skies to deliver Snooper from his foster home in Charleston, SC to his new forever home in Lawndale, NC via the airport in Lincolnton, NC. Snooper was being fostered by The Johnson's and was adopted by The Pearson's.

It was a reunion of sorts for Snooper as he was pulled for a shelter in Lincolnton. The good news was that he was returning to the area to live with a great family that adores him. Ray Pearson broke down on the ramp at the airport, hugging his wife, as Snooper came over to say hello. Such a touching day this was and I have to say thank you to all of those involved in this transport....Bonnie, Jerry, Karen, Missy, and "Hound Handler", Meghan, who accompanied me in the plane.

We also had a reported present up arrival and have been featured in the Lincoln Times News. That's right....two missions, making a total of three so far in 2009.

The day started off at 6am as I sat in front of my computer filing flight plans and checking the weather along our routes of flight. At 730am, Kim and I headed out the door enroute to the airport to get Hound Dog One ready for her flights. Christina Dacey was my designated co-pilot for the day and she met us there at 8am. At 830am, Hound Dog One lifted off on her first leg of the day and headed into some rain-filled clouds. The flight time was approximately 30 minutes and it wasn't long before we gently touched down on Runway 33 at Charleston International Airport.

We met Bryan Brooks at Odyssey Aviation. The Brooks' Family had been fostering Tina Turner and now, it was time to say goodbye. Tina Turner has been adopted by the Davis Family in North Carolina. We loaded up and departed at 1000am enroute to Beaufort, NC. Flight time on this leg was two hours. As we taxied in to Segrave Aviation, Lori Davis was there waiting on us. Tina Turner was a great passenger and was very eager to meet her new Mom. With tail wagging, Christina helped her off the wing and once on the tarmac, headed towards her. After some photo opportunities and an adoption paperwork review, Lori left with Tina Turner and we loaded up again. Next stop was Greensboro, NC.

At 1pm, we departed Beaufort, NC. Flight time to Greensboro was about an hour and thirty minutes. Upon parking at Atlantic Aero, we were greeted by Sandra Lumley, Lori Yarbrough, Steve & Tammy Graves, as well as a reporter from WGHP-TV in Greensboro. Our next passenger was Ms. Cotton.

Ms. Cotton couldn't wait to board the plane. With a little help from Kim, she stormed into the cockpit and sat next to me in the co-pilot's seat. After a little "convincing", she settled onto the back sit with Kim next to her. We departed around 330pm for the two hour flight down to Charleston. Ms. Cotton was the perfect passenger as long as the Hound Handler kept petting her. As Kim is the perfectly trained Basset slave (and Hound Handler), she was happy to oblidge. Upon arrival at Odyssey Aviation, we were greated by Susan and Michael Master, Pauline Grimball, Sue Ramsey, and Twinkle Toes! Once again, we posed for photos and chatted awhile before we headed back to Hilton Head.

Below, you will find a slideshow of the pictures we took from our latest missions. In addition, I am posting the link from the news story for your viewing/reading pleasure.

It gives us great joy to help out CBHR and our Basset Hound friends and we look forward to future Hound Dog One flights. I would like to personally thank all of the volunteers out there that help make these missions possible. Nothing could stop her as she gently touched down on Runway 23's 12,202 foot runway and taxied onto a ramp full of military aircraft.

Over the weekend, Hound Dog One proudly sat on the ramp as over 170,000 air show attendees walked by, viewed her, and took photos. A few lucky people even got to pose for photos inside the plane! :-)

Her flight crew answered many questions, passed out literature and coloring pages, as well as told the story of the Twinkle Toes transport, the upcoming Tina Turner transport, and what CBHR is all about. Overall, a very successful weekend for CBHR!

The only negative was the weather on Sunday. Half of the show was rained out due to thunderstorms and heavy rain. Our static display area will be staffed from 9am to 5pm both Saturday and Sunday. Hound Dog One will be parked next to the CBHR canopied display area and we will be educating the public on what we do so well....giving Basset Hounds a second chance and placing them in their forever homes. What a great opportunity this will be for CBHR as it is anticipated that over 150,000 people will attend the show over the weekend!!!
